  • May teach speech language impaired students in an instructional classroom
  • May provide speech language therapy services

Required Praxis tests:

  • Fundamental Subjects Content Knowledge: 5511/0511
  • Content Test: Speech Language  Pathology 5331
     

Required Licenses or Praxis tests:

  • PA State Speech- Language license and/or ASHA license
    OR
  • Content Test: Speech Language Pathology 5331

​Must complete a minimum of 12 weeks of full-time (consecutive days) student teaching placement in a PK-12 school setting

​Must complete minimum of 12 weeks of full-time (consecutive days) of practicum/internship in a PK-12 school setting.

The teaching and service may be counted on this Instructional certificate and meet work experience requirements for the Supervisor of Special Education certificate

 

  • The service on this certificate may not be counted to meet work experience requirements for the Supervisor of Special Education certification
  • This educator may pursue the Pupil Personnel Services Supervisory certificate (CSPG# 89) or the Principal certificate for supervisory purposes (CSPG # 95)
