At Governor Wolf's direction, the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) announced in August 2019 its intention to propose amendments to regulations relating to charter schools in the following areas:
- Application requirements
- Admissions policies
- Accountability of Boards of Trustees
- Information related to charter school management companies
- Liability coverage
- Fiscal and auditing standards
- Funding for charter schools
- Academic accountability

Public Roundtable to Follow on Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking; Charter Schools

These public roundtables provide another mechanism for interested stakeholders to provide feedback on priorities outlined in the Department’s August 24, 2019 Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking.
Interested stakeholders may deliver comment, written or verbal (5 minutes per speaker), to Department leadership facilitating each session.
Members of the public are encouraged, but not required, to register in advance.
