Participation and Performance Reports
The Pennsylvania System of School Assessment, also known as PSSA, measures how well students have achieved according to Pennsylvania's world-class academic standards. Pennsylvania Alternate System of Assessment, also known as PASA, measures how well students with severe cognitive disabilities have achieved in reading and mathematics as measured against alternate academic achievement standards. The reports below provide assessment participation and performance results to educators, parents, and administrators so they can evaluate their students' strengths and weaknesses so decisions can be made to improve student outcomes.
PA Alternate System of Assessment (PASA) Annual Participation and Performance Reports
PASA Annual Participation and Performance Reports from 2019 and earlier have been retired. The PA Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education implemented a new alternate assessment design beginning in 2021. Statewide Assessment Accountability for Students with Disabilities
The Pennsylvania state assessment system is composed of assessments and the reporting associated with the results of those assessments. The assessment system includes the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA), the Pennsylvania Alternate System of Assessment (PASA), the Pennsylvania Accountability System (PAS), the Pennsylvania Value-Added Assessment System (PVAAS), the Keystone Exams (end-of-course), Classroom Diagnostic Tools (CDT) and the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP).
