As you continue to prepare for a new school year and a safe return to in-person instruction, the Pennsylvania Departments of Health (DOH) and Education (PDE) would like to offer additional resources to help you when a case of COVID-19 is identified in a school setting.
A webinar recorded by the DOH summarizes associated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and offers information on case reporting and outreach to the DOH. This webinar serves as a supplement to the CDC's "What to do if a student becomes sick or reports a new COVID-19 diagnosis at school" flowchart.
Visit PDE's website to access the DOH webinar and information on responding to COVID-19 cases in schools.
Early next week, the DOH and PDE will publicly announce two additional resources related to testing and vaccination to support schools with a safe return to in-person instruction.
Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do to serve, support, and protect your school communities.
