Dear Colleagues,

Since April, the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) has provided a series of webinars, materials, and resources in the Accelerated Learning Through an Integrated System of Support (AL) toolkit to assist school leaders in making decisions for the upcoming school year. This toolkit is an extension of the Roadmap for Instructional Leaders, and focuses on the important topics of High-Quality Academics, Supportive Learning Environments, Healthy Systems Conditions, and a System of Scaffolded Supports.

Under this framework, school leaders have had the opportunity to participate in over 30 synchronous and asynchronous webinars aimed at supporting the planning and decision-making process for ensuring the safety, emotional well-being, and academic achievement of students, staff, and communities. The entire Accelerated Learning framework, including recordings of all webinars, can be accessed via PDE’s Accelerated Learning website.

Upcoming Accelerated Learning sessions will focus on Assessment Literacy, Local Assessment Planning, and Data Analysis Protocols. These sessions are scheduled for August 3, August 5, and August 10. More information and registration can be found on the  PATTAN Course Registration webpage.

In addition to the knowledge gained through participation in Accelerated Learning programming, participants can also receive Act 45 credit by registering their attendance at each session and completing the Accelerated Learning Planning Template. The template, along with information on registering for the Act 45 course, can also be found on PDE’s Accelerated Learning website.

PDE encourages you and your leadership staff to continue to engage in the programs and content that are a part of the Accelerated Learning Through an Integrated System of Support program.
