What a week. A
lot has changed in Pennsylvania and across the country over the past seven
days. While the current conditions have created a lot of uncertainty, I’ve seen
and experienced incredible examples of people coming together to ensure our
fellow Pennsylvanians, especially children, continue to receive the supports,
resources, and care they depend on.
As week one of
the school and state government closure comes to an end, our department’s
important work continues. I thank each one of you for your patience, your
flexibility, your collaboration, your courage, and your dedication to sustain
operations and look out for one another while we navigate this unprecedented
have not gone unnoticed. Lawmakers, school leaders, parents, reporters, partner
organizations, and many others – including Governor Wolf – have shared positive
feedback and messages of appreciation about the work you’ve been doing. I am so
proud of you, Team PDE.
While I don’t
know how long these circumstances will last, I do know that we’re in this
together, and together we’ll continue to responsibly serve our stakeholders
through this unprecedented time.
Thank you so
much for everything you’ve done and continue to do in support of school
communities across the state – it is seen and it is appreciated more than words
to monitor InsidePDE and education.pa.gov/info
for employee information and updates.
