School District Review Program
The National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) sponsors the School District Review Program (SDRP), which enables the U.S. Census Bureau to create tabulations of data by school district location. The demographic data produced by the Census Bureau for NCES and related to each school district is vital for each state's allocation under Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended. The Pennsylvania Department of Education must report to the Census Bureau:
- Relationships where school districts are coextensive with other legal areas, such as counties, cities, towns, and townships.
- Updates to the Census Bureau's representation of each school district's boundaries against current boundaries.
