Process for Requesting New Industry Credentials

  1. Submit application by November 30 to:
    Beth Marshall
    Pennsylvania Department of Education
    Bureau of Career and Technical Education
    333 Market Street, 11th Floor, Harrisburg, PA 17126-0333

  2. Request is reviewed by director, program specialist and industry credential coordinator.  Determination is made whether or not to move forward with the request.

  3. If moving forward, the industry credential will be added to the CATS system and placed in the PIMS manual for the following school year.

  4. The industry credential will be added to the Industry Credential Resource Book.

NOTE:   All applications must be typed into the fillable box, not handwritten.

All areas must be completed with responses to the requested information.  Do not enter see above, see below, see attached, etc.
 
OAC minutes must show detailed discussion of how the requested industry credential is necessary to obtain employment or advance within the occupation.  Applications that do not show discussion of the industry credential by the OAC will not be processed.
