Maintenance Program
Act 70 of 2019 establishes a maintenance program distinct from the traditional PlanCon program. Funds will be awarded on a semi-annual basis for projects that while vital that do not rise to the size and scope of what is required for PlanCon.
Eligible project types include: roof repairs and replacement, HVAC, boilers and controls, plumbing systems, energy savings projects, health and safety upgrades, emergencies, and other projects approved by the Secretary.
Projects will be prioritized and awarded based upon a rubric that considers: school entity wealth, prior receipt of grant awards, building conditions, emergencies, and safety and security.
