Educator Misconduct
The Department of Education prosecutes educator discipline cases in accordance with the Educator Discipline Act, 24 P.S. §§ 2070.1a–2070.18c, and supporting regulations. Specifically, the Department receives, reviews, and investigates pre-complaint referrals and educator misconduct complaints. When discipline is warranted, the Department prosecutes educators before the Professional Standards and Practices Commission.
